Alexandria schools launch climate survey to gather feedback on 2030 plan
Students, families and staff can respond through March 1
Alexandria City Public Schools is asking students, families, and staff to weigh in on school climate, safety, and culture through a new survey that opened Friday.
The ACPS 2030 Climate Survey runs through March 1 and is available in five languages: English, Spanish, Dari, Amharic, and Arabic. The survey takes approximately five to 10 minutes to complete.
Students in grades 6-12, all preK-12 families, and all ACPS staff are eligible to participate. Responses are anonymous. The survey is available online.
The survey is tied to the ACPS 2030 Strategic Plan, which the Alexandria City School Board approved in May. School officials said feedback will help monitor progress toward the plan’s goals and identify strengths and areas for improvement across schools and departments.
“Your voice matters—and together, we can continue building schools that nurture, educate, and inspire every student,” the division said on its website.
Survey results will inform decisions related to student support, staff experience, and family engagement, according to ACPS.
ACPS employees whose children attend division schools should respond as staff members, not family members, the survey instructions note.
The survey closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 1. Those with questions can contact ask@acps.k12.va.us.
