Chamber ALX's Chair's Reception returns Feb. 27 at Aslin Beer Co.
Dueling pianos, a live auction and band tees headline the annual celebration honoring incoming board chair Bob Brant
The Chamber ALX is in the final stretch of ticket sales for its 2026 Chair’s Reception, set for Friday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Aslin Beer Co.’s Alexandria taproom at 847 S. Pickett St.
Presented by Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh PC, the annual event honors incoming board chair Bob Brant, a shareholder at the presenting firm, and welcomes newly appointed board members as the organization kicks off the new year. Attendees are encouraged to ditch the business casual — the dress code is jeans and band T-shirts.
The evening opens with registration at 6 p.m., followed by a dueling piano showdown at 7:30 p.m., pitting Old Town against Del Ray. Chadwicks is sponsoring the Old Town side while HomeGrown Restaurant Group is backing Del Ray.
Also beginning at 7:30 p.m., a live auction will feature three packages. The “Toast to Alexandria” package includes $100 bar tabs at participating Alexandria restaurants, along with a VIP tour for 12 at Port City Brewing Company with a growler jug and pint glasses. The entertainment package bundles two tickets to a show at MGM National Harbor’s theater with an overnight stay for two and a $200 dining credit, four premium seats to a Warner Theater production with complimentary parking, a dinner cruise for two on City Cruises’ Odyssey, two tickets to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Spring Wine Festival, six Friday night tickets to Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar, and four guided tickets on an Alexandria Graveyard Tour from Alexandria Colonial Tours. A sports package rounds out the auction, with details available on the chamber’s website.
Ride share is encouraged, as the event will feature an open bar. Street and valet parking are available at attendees’ expense.
