Chinquapin Park Recreation Center marks 40 years with month of free activities, discounts
December celebration includes free swim week, fitness demos, raffles and discounted passes
Chinquapin Park Recreation Center & Aquatics Facility is celebrating 40 years of serving the Alexandria community with a month of free programming, discounts, and giveaways throughout December.
The festivities kick off Saturday, Dec. 6, at the center, 3210 King St. Visitors are invited to explore old news articles and share their favorite Chinquapin memories as part of the celebration.
All month long, passes will be available at 15% off. Each week features different promotions:
During week one, Dec. 6-12, visitors can sign up for free program demos and take advantage of a special offer of 30 days of fitness room and pool access for $30, available to first-time passholders only.
Week two, Dec. 13-19, brings free access to the soft playroom, racquetball courts, and fitness room. Courts and playroom are available for drop-in or by reservation by calling 703-746-5553.
Week three, Dec. 20-26, offers a free family swim. Designated hours are posted at the pool schedule page.
During week four, Dec. 27-31, visitors can fill out a raffle card each day for a chance to win a free instructor-led fitness class. Five winners will be drawn Dec. 31.
