Former City Councilman Frank Fannon to host 18th annual food and clothing drive Saturday
Donations of canned food, dry goods and winter clothing will benefit ALIVE! Food Bank, Christ House and Carpenter's Shelter
Former Alexandria City Councilman Frank Fannon will host his 18th annual “Alexandrians Have Heart” food and clothing drive Saturday to benefit three local charities.
The drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parking lot at 225 S. Henry St., at the corner of Duke and Henry streets.
Organizers are collecting canned food, dry goods, coats, gloves, hats, and other usable clothing. Donations will support ALIVE! Food Bank, Christ House, and Carpenter’s Shelter.
The annual Valentine’s Day weekend event, organized by Friends of Fannon, has become a city tradition.
