Man wounded in stabbing on Mt. Vernon Avenue, suspect arrested
Alexandria Police Department responds to incident Sunday evening
A man was wounded in a stabbing Sunday evening in the 3900 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue, and a suspect has been arrested, according to the Alexandria Police Department.
Officers responded to investigate the stabbing incident, the department said in a social media post at 7:13 p.m. Sunday. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Tracy Walker, communications manager for the Alexandria Police Department.
Police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.
The stabbing occurred in the Arlandria neighborhood, near MOM’s Organic Market and the Arlandria Shopping Center.
