Million-dollar winning lottery ticket sold at Del Ray 7-Eleven
Alexandria resident could be among Virginia's newest millionaires after New Year's raffle drawing
One of five $1 million winning tickets in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle was purchased at the 7-Eleven at 2108 Mt. Vernon Ave. in Alexandria, lottery officials announced on Thursday. The winning ticket number is No. 556789.
The question now is: Who has that winning ticket?
The four other million-dollar winners were sold at locations in Burke, Bealeton, Madison and Hopewell. Seven additional tickets across the commonwealth each won $100,000, with the closest to Alexandria sold at a Giant Food in Manassas.
Another 1,000 tickets won $500 each. The full list of winning numbers is available at valottery.com.
All Virginia Lottery profits go to K-12 education in Virginia. In fiscal year 2025, the lottery raised more than $901 million for K-12 education, making up approximately 10% of Virginia’s total K-12 school budget.
