Search for missing Alexandria man ends after remains found
Police locate Hieu Ngo, 29, in Joseph Hensley Park after 11-day search
The search for Hieu Ngo, a 29-year-old Alexandria man reported missing on Dec. 1, has ended with the discovery of his remains.
Alexandria police announced Thursday that Mr. Ngo was found the morning of Dec. 11 in a wooded area of Joseph Hensley Park near the Capital Beltway. Police said there is no indication the death was suspicious. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.
Mr. Ngo was last seen Nov. 26 near the 4800 block of Eisenhower Avenue. The search involved the Alexandria Police Department, Arlington County Police Department and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
Police thanked community members who shared information during the search and asked that the public respect the family’s privacy.
