Teen pedestrian critically injured in North Van Dorn Street crash
Northbound lanes closed at Holmes Run Parkway; police advise alternate routes
A 15-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a driver Thursday evening on North Van Dorn Street and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Alexandria police said.
The crash occurred near Holmes Run Parkway. Police shut down northbound North Van Dorn Street at the parkway and said an extended closure was expected as of about 8 p.m.
Police advised motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
