Alexandria City fails to score in district loss on Halloween night
The Alexandria City High School Titans lost to West Springfield 35-0 on Friday night at home.
West Springfield scored 14 points in the first quarter and added seven points in each of the remaining three quarters. Alexandria City failed to score in any quarter.
The loss dropped Alexandria City to 6-3 overall and 3-3 in district play. West Springfield improved to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the district.
It was the Titans’ third loss in four games after starting the season 5-0.
Looking ahead
Alexandria City closes out the regular season Thursday at South County at 7 p.m. South County is 6-3 overall and 5-1 in district play.
