ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Alexandria City School Board has completed its interviews with superintendent candidates and is negotiating a contract with its selected candidate, board Chair Christopher Harris said Thursday.
In a message sent to families and staff Thursday afternoon, Harris said the board tentatively plans to announce its choice at the Oct. 22 School Board meeting.
"This represents an important step toward completing the search and identifying the next leader of our school division," Harris wrote.
