Crane work to close northbound lanes on S. Washington Street Saturday
Detours in place between Duke and Prince streets from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Scheduled crane work will close northbound travel lanes on the 200 block of South Washington Street on Saturday.
The closure between Duke and Prince streets will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be detoured at Duke Street to Saint Asaph Street or South Columbus Street.
Adjacent sidewalks will also be closed. All work is expected to be completed within the posted hours.
The lane closure comes as Old Town prepares for additional construction disruptions. The Market Square Garage will be closed to the public on Monday as the city begins the construction phase of the City Hall and Market Square renovation project. Fencing will go up this month around City Hall, and sidewalks and street parking will close along North Royal, North Fairfax and Cameron streets.
