Former Councilman Frank Fannon jumped into the race for McPike’s seat earlier today—as an independent, bypassing Saturday’s Democratic primary. Speaking of that primary: Democrats added an online voting option, with registration open through Friday. And if you were planning to get near the Potomac this week, don’t—health officials are warning residents to avoid 72 miles of the river after sewage spills.
