ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A suspect was in custody early Saturday after a stabbing in the 800 block of West Glebe Road, Alexandria police said.
Detectives were investigating the stabbing amid a heavy police presence in the area, the Alexandria Police Department said in a social media post at 1:27 a.m. Saturday. The suspect was in custody, the department said.
The road was temporarily closed in both directions, and police asked drivers to avoid the area.
The department did not release information about the victim's condition, what led to the stabbing, or how the suspect was identified and taken into custody.
