ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Scores rose at 16 of 17 Alexandria City Public Schools under Virginia's School Performance and Support Framework for the 2025-26 school year, but three schools are rated as meeting or exceeding the state's expectations, according to data the state released Wednesday.

Fifteen schools are rated one level below what their scores alone would earn, an Alexandria Brief review of the data found. The state lowers a school's rating when a group of its students is identified for federal support. ACPS said 15 schools received that identification, most of them because of the performance of students with disabilities.
