ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Can music help Americans talk about one of our most divisive issues? The Alexandria Film Festival and Safer Country are bringing that question to Old Town on National Night Out.
The Virginia premiere of Louder Than Guns screens Tuesday, August 4, at 6 p.m. at the Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum, 201 S. Washington St. The 87-minute documentary, directed by Doug Pray, follows Old Crow Medicine Show frontman and "Wagon Wheel" co-writer Ketch Secor and journalist David Greene as they travel through rural, urban, and suburban America, bringing together people with sharply different views on guns — and discover the possibility of understanding, healing, and common ground.
