ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A 24-year-old Alexandria man died Saturday after the vehicle he was driving hydroplaned on Interstate 495 in Fairfax County, Virginia State Police said Monday.

Abraham Wrobeh was driving a 2025 Toyota RAV4 on I-495 at the 170-mile marker about 4:40 a.m. when the vehicle hydroplaned and struck a traffic attenuator, police said. Attenuators are the crash cushions placed at the ends of barriers and at exit gores to absorb impact.
