Alexandria man indicted in July killing on Holmes Run Parkway

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A grand jury indicted an Alexandria man Wednesday on murder and firearm charges in the July shooting death of Charles Talley, 36.

Corey Delantau Stubblefield, 38, faces one count of murder and one count of use of a firearm in the commission of murder, according to the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney. The Northern Virginia Multijurisdictional Grand Jury, sitting in Alexandria, returned the indictment.

Alexandria police responded to a report of gunshots at the ParcView Apartments in the 5300 block of Holmes Run Parkway at about 11:14 p.m. on July 15 and found Talley with a gunshot wound to the chest. Prosecutors said he was taken to Inova Alexandria Hospital, where he died.
