Alexandria man sentenced to more than 10 years in cross-country fentanyl trafficking case

Karon Blalock is the 21st defendant sentenced in a conspiracy that moved counterfeit pills from Southern California to the Washington area. Two other Alexandria men were sentenced earlier.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — An Alexandria man was sentenced Tuesday to 128 months in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy that moved tens of thousands of fentanyl pills from California to the Washington area, federal prosecutors said.

Karon Olufemi Blalock, 32, pleaded guilty on Oct. 16, 2025, to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly also ordered five years of supervised release. Prosecutors had asked for 135 months. The sentence amounts to 10 years and eight months.

Blalock, who prosecutors said was also known as "Fat Bags," is the 21st defendant sentenced in the case.
