ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Alexandria Police Department published a map Thursday showing where its 61 license plate reader cameras are located, meeting the Oct. 1 date it set last week.

In the same update to its license plate reader page, the department answered three questions about its statistics that had been pending for more than a week. It also said the outside audit it had expected to begin by Oct. 1 is not permitted by state law in its traditional form.

The Alexandria Brief found the new answers on Thursday.
