ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Move2Learn, the Alexandria nonprofit that builds physical movement into the school day, has been awarded $14,000 through NBCUniversal's 2026 Local Impact Grants program.
The organization is one of seven in the Washington region selected this year, sharing more than $225,000 in unrestricted funding from NBC4, Telemundo 44 and Comcast NBCUniversal.
Move2Learn's $14,000 is the second-smallest of the seven awards. The Northern Virginia Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons received the largest at $50,000, followed by Everybody Wins DC and the Safe Ride Foundation at $40,000 each, the Foster & Adoptive Parent Advocacy Center and KEEN Greater DC at $35,000 each, and Shout Mouse Press at $13,272.
