ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The West End Business Association will host its first-ever outdoor festival next month, inviting Alexandrians to spend an afternoon in Cameron Station celebrating local businesses, artisans and neighbors.
The Best of the West End Festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Ben Brenman Park, 4800 Brenman Park Drive. Early access begins at 11 a.m., when select vendors will start showcasing and selling their goods ahead of the official opening.
Admission is free. According to organizers, the festival will feature a marketplace of West End businesses and local artisans, live music from local performers throughout the afternoon, a beer garden with local craft beverages, family-friendly activities and food from neighborhood eateries.

The festival is being produced with the support of Volunteer Alexandria and is billed as WEBA's premier community gathering — a chance to spotlight the West End's small businesses, nonprofits and Friends of the West End in one of the neighborhood's signature green spaces.
"Whether you are a longtime resident or a first-time visitor, come help us kick off the summer by celebrating everything that makes our community special," organizers wrote on the event's Facebook page.
Local businesses and artisans interested in setting up at the festival can apply through WEBA's vendor application form, and the organization is also accepting donations to support the event.
