ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Finn & Fire begins its soft opening Thursday at 111 N. Pitt St., the former home of Kismet Modern Indian, an Indian restaurant that closed last spring.

The restaurant, designed by JMc Architects in collaboration with Sanctuary Room Interiors, aims to evoke the ambiance of Tulum and Miami. The menu will feature surf-and-turf and sushi rolls.

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Reservations can be requested by DMing the restaurant on Instagram.

The business is owned by Ghazal Amir, a self-taught cook who started Crab Cab as a food truck in 2013 before opening Crab Cab Kitchen + Bar at 6328 Richmond Hwy. in Fairfax County.
