Four Alexandria-area players are among 80 selected for U.S. Soccer's 2026 Under-14 Boys' Central and Northeast Region Talent Identification Mini-Camp, set for April 2-6 at McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Ga.

Three of the four represent Alexandria Soccer Association: goalkeeper Samuel Ekpolegyene of Alexandria, defender Mishael Thomas of Springfield and forward Royce Drewniak of Alexandria. A fourth player with local ties, forward Austin Murray of Alexandria, plays for the Arlington Soccer Association.

The camp is the third and final regional mini-camp of 2026 and brings together players from 22 states and the District of Columbia. U.S. Soccer Talent ID Director Garrett Biller will oversee the event alongside regional managers Dan Donigan and Rob Irvine.

The program is designed to identify top talent at the U-14 level and build the player pool for the U-15 Boys' National Team. Players selected for the national camp will next gather May 7-12, also in Fayetteville.

In addition to on-field evaluation, the camp includes instruction on nutrition, rest and recovery, and self-evaluation as part of U.S. Soccer's broader U.S. Way player development philosophy.
