No signs of foul play in Executive Avenue death investigation, police say

Alexandria police reported a heavy presence in the 3800 block Wednesday evening. A department spokesperson said it is early in the investigation.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Alexandria police said Wednesday evening they have found no signs of foul play in a death investigation in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

"It's early yet, but there are no signs of foul play at this stage of the investigation," Tracy Walker, the department's strategic communications manager, said in an email to The Alexandria Brief.

The department reported the investigation in a post at 5:18 p.m., saying there was a heavy police presence in the area and that further information would be provided as it becomes available.

Police have released no information about the person who died.

Executive Avenue runs between Mount Vernon Avenue and West Glebe Road in the city's Arlandria area.
