ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A developer wants to trade office space for senior housing on Carlyle Block P, the last developable parcel in the Carlyle development. The Planning Commission takes up that request Thursday, Nov. 5, along with four zoning text amendments. The city's docket describes two of the amendments as state-mandated.

The hearing starts at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers at the Del Pepper Community Resource Center, 4850 Mark Center Drive, Room 1305. According to the docket, some of the items will also go to City Council at a public hearing on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 9:30 a.m. The city labels the docket preliminary and subject to change.
