ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Students whose bus eligibility was restored after Alexandria City Public Schools reviewed its new walk zones will have routes beginning Monday, Oct. 5, the division told The Alexandria Brief on Thursday.
In a statement attributed to Chief Operating Officer Anthony Peña, ACPS said it began sending responses on Sept. 23 to families who requested bus service through the division's official process.
"Routes for students whose transportation eligibility was reinstated for the 2026-27 school year will be active on October 5, 2026," the statement said.
