ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Washington Spirit forward Trinity Rodman and defender Tara Rudd have been called up to the U.S. women's national team for two home friendlies against Spain next month, U.S. Soccer announced Tuesday.
The Americans, the defending Olympic gold medalists, host the reigning World Cup champions at Audi Field at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, and at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Rodman has been a fixture on the roster since her first senior call-up in January 2022, with 13 goals and 12 assists in 57 appearances. She scored in both January friendlies this year, against Chile and Paraguay, played in all three April friendlies against Japan and assisted in the team's June trip to Brazil.
