Good morning, Alexandria.

Police take questions on their cameras again tonight, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Patrick Henry Recreation Center. It's the second of two listening sessions, and it comes two days after the department put a date on its search numbers for the first time — 1,557 in September, up from a figure that had sat unchanged and undated since Sept. 8.

Tomorrow the School Board names the next ACPS superintendent, two weeks earlier than planned, after contract talks wrapped sooner than expected.

Also tonight: Swedish students from Helsingborg, one of Alexandria's sister cities, come to Lloyd House for a cultural exchange and dinner from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Board of Architectural Review meets at 7 p.m.

Here's what you need to know for Wednesday, Oct. 7.
