The Washington Spirit have sold out their May 30 match against Seattle Reign FC, the club announced Tuesday — the earliest sellout in franchise history at 11 days before kickoff.

The match at Audi Field marks the Spirit's third weekend home sellout of the 2026 season, tying the single-season club record set in 2024 and again in 2025, with at least 10 home matches still to play. The Spirit also sold out weekend matches against Portland and Kansas City this year, each drawing announced crowds of 19,215.

"Our fans are the reason we continue to achieve new heights. Selling out 11 days before the match is just another proof point of the special bond that exists between our team and DC," Spirit CEO Kim Stone said in a statement. She called the three sellouts "a reflection of the passion of this city and the love our fanbase has for this club."

The demand comes as the Spirit have been one of the hottest teams in women's soccer. Washington sits third in the NWSL standings at 5-2-3 with 18 points and a league-best plus-8 goal differential, trailing only San Diego Wave FC (21 points) and Portland Thorns FC (19 points). The Spirit entered last Friday's road match at San Diego on a five-match win streak and an eight-match unbeaten run, both of which ended in a 2-1 loss after the Wave scored a stoppage-time winner. Forward Rebeca Bernal scored Washington's lone goal off a Leicy Santos corner in the 33rd minute, the club's first loss since the March 13 season opener.

The Spirit are now in Mexico for the semifinals of the 2025-26 Concacaf W Champions Cup, where they face CF Pachuca on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. EDT at Estadio Hidalgo. A win would send the club to Saturday's continental final.

The May 30 match is the club's Spirit Rising Youth Night, a matchday celebration built around younger fans with youth-themed experiences throughout the stadium. It will be Washington's first home match since a 1-0 win over Racing Louisville on April 29 — and a rematch against a Seattle side the Spirit beat 1-0 at Lumen Field on May 10. Seattle sits ninth in the standings at 3-4-2.

The May 30 game also closes out a long stretch away from Audi Field. The Spirit don't return home until July 3, when they host the Houston Dash for In Spirit of Service Night following the NWSL's June international break.

The club says the only guaranteed way to still get tickets for the Seattle match is through a half-season plan, which now covers six remaining home matches.

The sellout extends a remarkable run for the franchise. The Spirit have sold out five of their past seven matches at Audi Field, including both home playoff games last season, and have notched nine sellouts in less than two calendar years since drawing a club-record 19,897 fans on June 15, 2024. Twenty of the club's top 24 home attendance marks have come since the start of the 2024 season.

Last season, the Spirit became only the fourth women's soccer club in the world to average more than 15,000 fans per match, with nearly 237,000 spectators passing through the gates at Audi Field.

The match kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Audi Field in Buzzard Point.
