ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Alexandria City Public Schools approved 183 walk zone appeals and extended bus eligibility to 456 students, according to a memo prepared for Thursday's School Board meeting.

New routes for those students began Monday, according to the memo's schedule.

The figures are the first the division has released on the outcome of its review. ACPS told The Alexandria Brief on Oct. 1 that reinstated routes would start Oct. 5, but its statement did not include how many students were reinstated, how many requests were denied or where service would return.
