The annual tradition recognizes staff who help keep the community healthy
The Alexandria Health Department announced its 2025 Public Health Heroes on Monday, continuing what the department called its “favorite tradition” of honoring staff members each December.
This year’s honorees are Nechelle Terrell, community outreach specialist; Tiffany Johnson-Wiggins, environmental health manager; and Alyssa Granillo, district epidemiologist.
“Please join us in celebrating them and #publichealth,” the department wrote on social media.
