The Alexandria Police Department has updated details in its search for a critically missing 80-year-old woman, now saying she was last seen Wednesday evening rather than early Thursday morning.
Virginia Richards was last seen at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday near the 0 block of W. Del Ray Ave., police said Thursday afternoon. Authorities had initially reported she was last seen at 4 a.m. Thursday.
Richards is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
Police designated Richards a critical missing person, a classification typically used when there is concern for an individual's immediate safety or well-being.
