Alexandria takes center stage in Queer Eye's final season on Netflix
Local salons, restaurants among filming locations as city served as production headquarters
The final season of Netflix’s Emmy-winning series “Queer Eye” premiered today, and Alexandria is playing a starring role.
Season 10, which dropped on Netflix on Wednesday, features several Alexandria businesses and landmarks, following the city's role as the D.C.-region production hub last summer. The Fab Five filmed at locations throughout Old Town during two days in July 2025.
Among the local spots viewers can catch on screen: the King Street Progress Pride Rainbow Crosswalk at the intersection of King Street and North Royal Street appears in episodes one and five; Hazel O. Salon on North Washington Street is featured in the season opener; Salon deZEN on Montgomery Street shows up in episode three; and 1799 Prime Steak & Seafood on South Pitt Street appears in episode five.
Sharp-eyed locals may also spot familiar Alexandria details throughout various episodes, including Old Town rowhouse doors, a DASH Pride bus, the City Hall spire, and the Market Square fountain.
The production came to Alexandria through a partnership between Visit Alexandria, the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, and the City of Alexandria. Visit Alexandria helped scout filming locations while AEDP secured a lease for production offices at the Van Dorn Station shopping center. The series was filmed in the D.C. region for five weeks from late June through early August 2025.
“We loved working with the Queer Eye production team. They were enthusiastic about Alexandria’s destination appeal and small business stories,” said Claire Mouledoux, senior vice president of marketing and communications at Visit Alexandria. “Appearances in major films and shows act as powerful destination marketing, showcasing Alexandria’s charm, creativity, and small businesses to a worldwide audience.”
Visit Alexandria has published a guide to the local filming locations on its website for residents and visitors looking to retrace the Fab Five’s steps through the city.
