ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Two restaurants from Washington-based Catalogue are projected to open at Carlyle Crossing in late fall, a spokesperson for the group said Monday.

Kristen Salis, who handles media relations for Catalogue, said the projected opening is late fall and that the group would provide updates as they become available. Banners reading "Coming Soon" for Ted's Bulletin and Honeymoon were up on construction hoarding at the Eisenhower East development as of Friday. Ted's Bulletin lists its Carlyle Crossing address as 2471 Mandeville Lane and Honeymoon lists 2461 Mandeville Lane. Neither brand's website gives an opening date.

Both projects have been in the works for years. Ted's Bulletin was announced for Carlyle Crossing in July 2022, paired with Sidekick Bakery and slated to open sometime in 2023. The two were to share a kitchen across roughly 7,500 square feet, the Washington Business Journal reported at the time. Plans later changed, with Honeymoon taking the bakery's space. Catalogue said in early 2025 that it anticipated opening the chicken restaurant in late 2025 or early 2026. Sidekick's website now lists only its Ballston location.

Catalogue is the hospitality group founded by restaurateur Steve Salis. Its brands include Kramers, Federalist Pig, Ted's Bulletin, Sidekick and Honeymoon.

Salis acquired Ted's Bulletin in 2017; the chain's first restaurant opened on Capitol Hill in 2010. Carlyle Crossing would be its ninth location and its first in Alexandria, joining eight others in the District, Virginia and Maryland. Honeymoon, which operates in the District as Honeymoon Chicken, opened in Petworth in January 2022 with Rob Sonderman as chef and has won a Michelin Bib Gourmand three times. Alexandria would be its second location.

Developer Stonebridge completed the 1.3 million-square-foot Carlyle Crossing in late 2021. The development includes more than 700 apartments and about a quarter-million square feet of restaurant and retail space, within walking distance of the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station.
