Weekend Guide: What's happening in Alexandria Feb. 6-8

Bundle up, Alexandria — it’s going to be a cold one.

Friday brings a chance of snow in the afternoon with highs in the mid-30s before temperatures plunge overnight. Saturday will be sunny but brutally cold and windy, with highs only in the mid-20s and wind gusts approaching 50 mph. Sunday isn’t much warmer, but the wind eases up just in time for Super Bowl LIX.

Speaking of which, check in with your favorite bar or restaurant to see what watch parties and specials they have planned for the big game.

Despite the chill, there’s plenty happening. Winter Restaurant Week wraps up Sunday, so there’s still time to take advantage of special menus at participating spots across the city. Bargain hunters will want to brave the cold and hit Old Town for the Alexandria Warehouse Sale running Saturday and Sunday.
