Alexandria City High School's Titan Theatre will present "Anastasia: The Musical" later this month, with five performances scheduled across two weeks at the school's theater at 3330 King St.

The show runs at 7:30 p.m. on April 24, April 30, May 1 and May 2, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on April 26.

Based on the book by Terrence McNally with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, the musical follows a young woman known as Anya who sets out to uncover the mystery of her past, traveling from the final days of the Russian Empire to 1920s Paris. Along the way she is pursued by a Soviet officer while enlisting the help of a con man and a former aristocrat.
