ALEXANDRIA, Va. - King Arthur Baking Company’s permanent store and baking school in Old Town Alexandria will open in December, the company said Wednesday on social media — the first time it has narrowed the timeline beyond “fall.”
The Vermont-based company did not give a specific date, saying only that one is coming. Its website for the 617 King Street location still lists the opening as “Fall 2026.”
King Arthur first confirmed plans for an Alexandria location in February, initially targeting late summer, before shifting to fall after its Fairfax Corner pop-up closed in June. In July, the company was still hiring a baking school manager for the site.
