ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Del Ray's summer bar crawl returns Saturday, Aug. 15, with live music at more than 20 restaurants along Mount Vernon Avenue and proceeds benefiting The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria.
Bands & Brews runs from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Now in its sixth year, the event is hosted by the Del Ray Business Association and presented by The Jen Walker Team.
Participants move between restaurants on foot or by trolley. The Business Association said the lineup spans several musical zones, including yacht rock, retro, rock and western, alongside raffles, giveaways and costume contests.
"Bands & Brews has become one of Del Ray's favorite traditions," Del Ray Business Association President Lauren Fisher said in a statement announcing the event. "This community event combines the best of summer while supporting the incredible work that The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria does to support students in our community."
