ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Chamber ALX on Wednesday announced its 2026 class of 40 Under 40 honorees, recognizing 40 professionals age 40 and under who work or live in Alexandria across business, government, health care, nonprofits, real estate and the arts.

The chamber said each honoree was selected for professional accomplishments, scholastic achievement, community impact and personal story. The program, launched in 2016, spotlights individuals working in business, technology, nonprofit management, civic life, public service, education and the arts who the chamber says are shaping Alexandria's future. This year marks the program's 10th class.

The honorees will be celebrated at the 40 Under 40 Awards, presented by Sikich, on Thursday, July 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the American Physical Therapy Association headquarters, 3030 Potomac Ave. A reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the award ceremony at 7:15 p.m. and an after-party at a location to be announced. Attire is summer cocktail or business.

Individual tickets are $120, with 5-, 10- and 15-packs also available. Registration is open through the chamber's website. Sponsorship and program ad inquiries can be directed to Lovie Patish at lpatish@thechamberalx.com.

Matthew Gorman, an honoree, works at Sikich, the presenting sponsor.

The chamber said its 40 Over 40 honorees will be announced later this month. Nominations for both awards opened March 10 and closed April 3, according to chamber notices previously published in The Alexandria Brief.

The 40 Under 40 Awards is the marquee event of the chamber's Young Leaders Network, which also includes after-hours networking receptions for early- and mid-career professionals.
