ALEXANDRIA, Va. — City Council will take up the Russell Road Safe Routes to School project at its Nov. 14 meeting, settling appeals that have sat without a hearing date since August.
Council "will consider the appeals and review the full project to reach a final decision," according to a written staff update in the Traffic and Parking Board's October docket.
That last phrase matters. The appeals were filed against a single decision by the Transportation and Environmental Services director. Council now intends to review the project as a whole.
