ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Alexandria City School Board will hold a town hall Tuesday, Nov. 10, inviting students, staff, families and residents to question board members on school funding, building capacity, the superintendent transition and the division’s state legislative agenda.
The event, billed as “Let’s Talk ACPS: A Conversation with the School Board,” runs 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the School Board Room at 1340 Braddock Place, with a virtual option through a Zoom webinar. ACPS is asking attendees to RSVP online, where they can also submit up to two questions for the board to address.
Questions submitted in advance “will help guide the conversation,” the registration form says, though not all will be answered individually because of time. The form asks registrants whether they are a student, staff member, parent or guardian, or community member; whether they will attend in person or virtually; and whether they need interpretation, accessibility accommodations or other assistance.
