ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Gov. Abigail Spanberger said Wednesday she is "quite confident" that the three constitutional amendments on Tuesday's ballot will survive in court. Alexandria voters backed all three by wide margins.

"These results clearly, clearly show that Virginians and Americans across the country want something different than what they have seen in Congress, what they have seen certainly in this White House," Spanberger said during a virtual media availability with reporters.

Asked about a legal challenge to Amendment 1, which would protect reproductive freedom including abortion, Spanberger said, "I'm confident that that will be upheld."
