The U.S. Women's National Team will return to Audi Field on Oct. 10 to face Spain, the world's top-ranked women's soccer team and defending FIFA Women's World Cup champion, the Washington Spirit announced Monday.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. The match will air on TBS and HBO Max in English and on Telemundo, Universo and Peacock in Spanish. The two sides will also meet Oct. 13 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pa., at 7 p.m. on TNT and HBO Max.
The Oct. 10 match will include a pre-game retirement celebration for Crystal Dunn, the legendary USWNT defender who won NWSL MVP honors while playing for the Spirit in 2015. The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive commemorative Dunn bobbleheads.
"DC has become a hotbed for the world's best soccer, and hosting the USWNT against Spain on Oct. 10 is further proof of that," Washington Spirit CEO Kim Stone said in a release. Stone also noted the club will host the NWSL Championship this year.
The October matches will be the USA's first since a break for club play following June games in Brazil. Spirit players Trinity Rodman, Tara Rudd, Kate Wiesner, and Hal Hershfelt have all received USWNT call-ups over the past year.
The USA and Spain have met just four times historically. The Americans won the first three, including a Round of 16 victory at the 2019 Women's World Cup. Spain claimed its first-ever win over the USA in 2022 and went on to win the 2023 Women's World Cup.
The match will be the fourth USWNT game at Audi Field. The USA most recently played there on July 2, 2025, defeating Canada 3-0.
Spirit full season members get presale access beginning Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. The public on-sale begins Thursday, July 16 at 10 a.m. A limited ticket bundle including both a USWNT match ticket and a Spirit match ticket will also be available; details are expected in the coming days.
