ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Washington Spirit will host the Portland Thorns FC in a National Women's Soccer League playoff quarterfinal at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Audi Field, the team said Sunday.
The match will air on ABC, according to a Spirit press release that said the league announced the date and time.
Washington clinched the No. 3 overall seed with a 2-0 home win Sunday over Chicago Stars FC, according to the release, and finished the regular season 17-9-4 with 55 points. The Spirit went into the final day in third place, two points ahead of Kansas City, after a 2-1 loss to the Current on Oct. 25. The top four teams on the final table host a quarterfinal.
