Good morning, Alexandria, and happy Halloween. Mostly sunny and 64 degrees today, which is about as good as it gets for a Saturday of trick-or-treating. Lee Street closes between Prince and Green from about 4:30 to 9 p.m.; Fall-O-Ween is at John Carlyle Square at 11 a.m., the Floating Pumpkin Patch at Chinquapin at 10 a.m., and Pumpkin Palooza at Lee-Fendall at noon. The full day is in Events below, and the weekend guide has Sunday.
It’s also the last day of early voting: the registrar’s office, 132 N. Royal St., is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Beatley Central Library 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. After today, it’s Tuesday at your polling place, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tonight the clocks go back an hour. Tomorrow: Paws in the Park at Oronoco Bay at 11 a.m., and the city’s farmers markets are open at Brenman Park, Four Mile Run and Montgomery Park.
Here’s what you need to know for Saturday, Oct. 31.
