Good morning, Alexandria.

Election Day is one week from today, and early voting runs through Saturday. The registrar’s office, 132 N. Royal St., is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. If you have a mail ballot, it must be postmarked by 7 p.m. Nov. 3 and received by noon Nov. 6, or placed in the drop box outside the registrar’s office, which is open around the clock until 7 p.m. on Election Day. On Nov. 3, polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anyone in line by 7 p.m. gets to vote; polling places also have drop boxes during those hours. The full schedule is on the city’s early voting page, and the elections office has sample ballots and polling places.
