ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Chamber ALX on Thursday announced its second annual 40 Over 40 class, recognizing 40 accomplished professionals across business, government, education, the arts, nonprofits and other fields.

The chamber said the program honors leaders who exemplify wisdom, experience and long-term impact, and whose professional achievements and community leadership continue to shape the city. It plans to spotlight each honoree on social media in the coming weeks.

The class will be celebrated at the 40 Over 40 Awards, presented by United Bank, on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the American Physical Therapy Association headquarters, 3030 Potomac Ave. The date was moved from an earlier listing. A reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the award ceremony at 7:15 p.m. and an after-party at 8:10 p.m. Attire is summer cocktail or business.

Individual tickets are $120, with 5-, 10- and 15-packs also available. Registration is open through the chamber's website. Sponsorship and program ad inquiries can be directed to Lovie Patish at lpatish@thechamberalx.com.

The announcement follows the chamber's 2026 40 Under 40 class, unveiled earlier this month, whose awards celebration, presented by Sikich, is set for July 16 at the same venue. The 40 Over 40 program, now in its second year, recognizes professionals older than 40, complementing the longer-running 40 Under 40 awards.
