Good morning, Alexandria.
I stopped by the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s Paws in the Park at Oronoco Bay Park yesterday, rescheduled from early October, and it drew thousands of people and dogs on a mild afternoon. The league called this year’s Rescue Row, the stretch of adoption groups along the path, its largest yet. Somehow my wife and I made it out without a new buddy.
No school today and tomorrow for ACPS students; it's a teacher work day today, and tomorrow is Election Day. If you haven’t voted, item 1 has everything: hours, the four precincts that moved, what’s on the ballot, and what to bring. If you have a mail ballot sitting on the counter, the drop box at 132 N. Royal St. is open around the clock until 7 p.m. tomorrow.
Here’s what you need to know for Monday, Nov. 2.
