Good morning, Alexandria.

It’s Election Day, the first one since this newsletter started a year ago tomorrow, and the last time Mark Warner’s name will be on a ballot. He said as much last night at Port City, “literally my last political event ever as a candidate,” to a room of more than 200 that included a good share of the city’s elected officials. Polls close at 7 p.m.. I’ll post Alexandria’s unofficial results tonight as soon as I have them, and you’ll get the full picture here in the morning.

Here’s what you need to know for Tuesday, Nov. 3.
