ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A water main break has closed the southbound 500 block of South Van Dorn Street, Alexandria police said Saturday.
Virginia American Water crews are on scene, police said in an update. There is no estimated time for repairs to be completed.
Police first posted the closure at 12:18 p.m. and asked drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
Police did not say whether any water service has been affected.
